
“ The greater a speech, the longer it can be. The longer a speech, the greater it ought to be”. The famous words lingered on the mind of those who were fortunate to witness the English Elocution Competition for category 3 to 5 organised by the Primary section of Smt Sandraben Shroff Gnyan Dham School, Vapi on 13th of July 2022 in the respective school Auditorium. The competition was one among the series of competitions going to take place in the school as a prologue to the grand Golden Jubilee Celebration of Gnyan Dham School going to be conducted in the month of December. The event named “ Resonance: The Voice of the Thinking Mind” included participants from four different schools of vapi including the hosting school. Major General T K Bhutia, the Principal of Sandraben Shroff Nursing School was the judge of the program. Some factors adjudged during the competition were Content, Language and Enunciation, Delivery and Overall Presentation. All the children participated with great Zeal and enthusiasm and it was a great pleasure to hear them. The participants and the in charge teachers were praised by one and all present over there. Before the results were revealed the judge came forward, spoke to the children and guided them on how they can improve their performance in the upcoming events. The results were declared by the judge Major General T K Bhutia. The results were as follows ;First Prize was bagged by Astha Singh of Shri L G Haria Multipurpose School, Second prize was bagged by Arham Bhatt of Smt Sandraben Shroff Gnyan Dham School and Third prize was bagged by Rhaxma Panchal of Vapi Public School. The competition ended on a happy note and the discipline of the students was commendable.
